Dreadlocks aren't always dirty, nasty, or a home to mice and other various creatures like many people think. So long as you
put a little effort into maintaining them, they are a great no hassle style, especially if you dont have time to do your hair
in the morning.
You will need:
-many small elastics
-a fine tooth comb that will probablly end up getting broken alot. a metal flea comb from a pet store is probably the
best and is more durable.
-a very good friend (or a few) to help (or do it for you)
-a few hours to kill
Getting Ready:
-Wash your hair but do not use conditioner. Because you won't be washing them often, its best to dye your hair before
it becomes dreadlocks.

Dreading:
-Section Your hair into numerous elastics, as tight as you can stand. The more elastics the skinnier the dreads (Skinny
dreads look better on shorter hair).
-Starting at the elastic and working your way down, back comb or tease each section untill there is nothing left to tease.
-Roll the dread between your hands pulling down twards the end of each section.
-Repete over and over and over.

Maintaining Dreadlocks:
-When washing them, use a bar soap instead of shampoo. Never use conditioner.
-Wash them as little as possible. Because you are using bar soap, you wont have to wash them often, as it dries them out.
-Roll them when you can (long car rides, movies, lectures, etc.)
-If they start to fall appart, back comb them again
-When the elastics become loose or start to break, it maybe an indicator that you no longer need them anyways and that
the dreads have started to set.
-If the dreads start to meld together, put them in elastics again.
-back comb the new growth behind the elastic.
